Setup

Eight steps to join the server

  1. 1

    Step 1 · Prepare DayZ

Install the PC version of DayZ through Steam and launch it once so the initial game and launcher setup can finish.

  2. 2

Step 2 · Choose your launcher

DZSA Launcher provides the quickest setup, but you can also use the official DayZ Launcher.

  3. 3

Step 3 · Find Project Blackout

Search for "Project Blackout PvP". If it does not appear, use the server address: 194.50.234.86:2869.

  4. 4

Step 4 · Load the required mods

Select the server and let the launcher subscribe to and load every required mod. Wait until all Steam downloads are complete.

  5. 5

Step 5 · Read the server rules

Review the rules before joining. Groups are limited to four players, raiding is active 24/7 and every raid must be recorded.

  6. 6

Step 6 · Join the Discord

Join our Discord for announcements, wipe information, community updates and support tickets.

  7. 7

Step 7 · Connect to the server

Join after DayZ and every required mod are fully updated. The Play Now button opens DZSA and copies the server address as a fallback.

  8. 8

Step 8 · Begin your progression

Gear up, build your group and compete for keyrooms, KOTH, airdrops, hacked crates and other high-value objectives.

Troubleshooting

Common connection problems

Follow the matching solution below. If the problem remains, open a Discord support ticket and include the complete error message.

Server not appearing

Search for the exact server name or use 194.50.234.86:2869. In the official launcher, search under Community and remove restrictive filters.

Mods are still downloading

Check the Steam Downloads page and wait for every workshop download to finish before starting DayZ.

Missing mod or PBO error

Close DayZ and the launcher, repair or verify the affected workshop mod, then restart the launcher and try again.

Your mod version is outdated

Restart Steam to trigger pending workshop updates. Reopen the launcher only after every update has completed.

Server uses an older mod version

Do not downgrade the mod yourself. Take a screenshot showing the complete error, mod name and version numbers, then open a Discord support ticket.

Extra or incorrect mods loaded

Unload additional mods and join with only the mod preset selected by the server. Extra client mods can cause signature or PBO errors.

Connection failed during restart

The server restarts every four hours. Check the live restart countdown on the homepage and reconnect once the server is online.

Corrupted DayZ files

Open DayZ in your Steam library, verify the integrity of the game files and let Steam replace any damaged files.

Still unable to join

Take a screenshot of the complete error message and open a Discord support ticket so staff can identify the exact problem.
